P.S. I don't know why I thought this was a Tasuki/Miaka fic, but I had reviewed after re-reading the first three chapters. I like Taka/Tasuki just as well, lol. Now that you've sucked me in so far, I can't wait for another update.

This is by far my favorite AU fic that I've ever read. It's creative in unexpected ways. It could probably be a movie if it weren't based on FY characters. This really reminds me of certain vampire lore. Writers always pin immortality as something that grows excruciating after a lifetime or two. I'm sure it would. And I gave you ten out of ten for everything because I really am impressed with the way your dialogue lacks awkwardness. And Hotohori was surprisingly treacherous, although I can't say that I mind given that I want Miaka to be reborn.
