Good stuff. At first I found it incredabily depressing then the end almost made me cry. I like how it feels like an adult looking back at a memory from childhood. Though your vaugely detached, commenting style works ninety-nine precent of the time, I felt it was slightly out of place here, considering the gripping depression of the fist half. At first I thought it was about Mariko, then I thought it was about Asuka, then I realized what it's really about... Interesting.
