Thanks for ruining my day. ; ) Man, this was despressing but not unexpected. The way that Malik's mind works is truly mindboggling. He is perfectly adept at making himself look like the injured party. He sleeps around on his fiance (with others besides Ryou) and yet it is Garrett's cheating that is a blow to his precious ego. And I liked how he so easily twisted the facts to make Ryou the villian who came between him and Garrett. Oh, puh-leeze! That was definitely a WTF moment if there ever was one. Malik is a snake, a vicious one at that. The confrontation in the dressing room was classic. I can see Malik flinging money and tossing insults just as ruthlessly because of his poor wounded pride. Get over yourself! The icing on the cake happened to be that Malik had the balls to tell Ryou that Ryou has no idea what love means. Hey, whatever makes you sleep better at night, buddy. This guy hasn't changed a bit but has only perfected his act of being a taker in his relationships and washing his hands clean of any wrongdoing. He was perfectly willing to keep cheating on his fiance with Ryou!!!! And to think that Ryou would be OK with that. I stand by my assertion that Ryou deserves better - much better. Your story is turning into quite the trainwreck but I'm one of the sick bastards rubbernecking for a better view! I love your style! Keep up the good work!

Good chapter. I wonder if Malik will even consider what Ryou said. I feel so bad for Ryou. Although, there was probably other roads to take this was his chosen one. I know he regrets it, I hope he can get out of it.

Good chapter. They cheated on each other with the same person. Poor Ryou is so heartbroken and still in love with Malik and trying to be noble. I hope someone can rescue him from his life and Xander.

Ah. There's a lot going on in this chapter and so far none of it good. Surprisingly, Ryou hasn't picked up and moved. I really thought he'd be gone - already halfway across the country! Ryou's recollection of leaving Marik's place after their night together was heartbreaking. I was also sort of surprised that he'd go back to the club. Well, yes and no on that count. He got no satisfaction out of it and he wasn't able to lose himself in his performance as he had hoped. The "confrontation" of sorts with Garrett was sad in its own way but I was proud of Ryou for sticking to his guns. Xander is a frightening/obsessive individual especially since it seems death and murderous looks surround him. The conversation between Malik and Garrett went downhill fast... Looks like Malik's impression of Ryou remaining innocent is about to shatter. This chapter made me sick to my stomach while reading it. I guess that could be taken wrong! Still love the story, but, man! Emotional roller coaster! Don't keep us waiting too long for an update! ; ) (Did you find Bakura yet? Ryou's going to need a strong shoulder to cry on and to protect him from that crazy Xander guy.) Sorry... couldn't resist! ; )

Maybe Ryou is a coward having resorted to leaving before Malik awoke. Maybe Ryou is a coward for leaving behind a note in his stead with a half-assed explanation for his departure. Maybe Ryou is a coward for not telling Malik about his life choices. But, it was a very brave thing to walk away from Malik - the love of Ryou's life - and insist that Malik follow through with plans to marry another, to go on with life without Ryou. And, Ryou had insisted that Malik not look for him once he had left. I fear that Malik will not heed the note. Regardless, maybe this is a wakeup call to Ryou? Maybe he will try harder to get his own life back together? It's never too late... A very sad but very good chapter.

And so the plot thickens... That was a very brave thing for Ryou to do. It can't have been easy for him, especially considering what happened between him and Malik last night, and the fact that he still loves him to no end. I can't imagine how painful it would be to make that choice - whether to stay and know that you're just setting yourself up for being hurt over and over again, or to walk away for good but still knowing that you could never stop loving them. Well done, once again looking forward to more.

Good chapter. Poor Ryou. I guess he's going to run again. I feel bad for him. I feel sorry for Malik, too. They both have a lot of issues.

Well. It just goes to show you that you have developed the characters so well that I, as a reader, care about how life unfolds for them - in my case, more so for Ryou, as you've probably guessed! (I'm still rooting for Bakura to save the day! Ha ha!) I've already stated that I really enjoy the pairing of Ryou/Malik (yeah, despite the thing for Bakura) but I'm sort of in the corner shaking my pompoms, actively cheering for Ryou to give Malik the boot once and for all. And, I don't mean that in a negative way about your story. It goes back to that whole caring for the characters issue I mentioned. I just happen to have a soft spot for Ryou - even though Ryou is not without his faults either. In regards to Malik, it's safe to say the prick has commitment issues out the wahzoo. It broke my heart as he stood there and tried to decide between Ryou and his fiancé. Ryou was right. Why would Ryou want someone who had to think about whether or not Ryou was the most important one their life? Malik wants the best of both worlds when it comes down to it. He is not man enough to choose. At least this time, Malik is openly cheating on someone but in reverse - where it's not poor, naive Ryou sitting at home waiting for the prick's sorry ass to show up after having screwed someone else. You have painted Malik as a pretty boy and complex in nature with possibility, but I really, really dislike him. He is the boy your mother warned you about. He's too smooth, conceited, and he's a manipulator of the utmost caliber. But Ryou, honey, you're still thinking about seeing Garrett even after you know Malik is his fiancé? Gah. Malik managed to talk himself into Ryou's pants anyway. I wanted to slap Malik too after he had admitted he was hoping Ryou would spread those thighs for him willingly. Arg. It seems that both got what they wanted by the end of this lovely chapter. At least Ryou got his "I love you"… I dread what is going to happen next… but, I will read it because I am hooked and I really do adore your story!

Great chapter. I hope Ryou won't be too sorry in the morning. I almost feel bad for Garrett but I bet he will tell Malik what happened between him and Ryou if He breaks the engagement.

I must take my hat off to you and bow formally. I really must say that I haven't read a fanfiction as good as this in some time - it has me totally consumed. Ryou and Malik have always been a favourite couple of mine, and I think you have written them out perfectly. Some chapters almost brought tears to my eyes, knowing how Ryou feels. Admittedly, though, I hope you don't mind me saying, but in the last chapter I came across the word "whitenette" approximately 15 times, which is a little OTT for my liking. However, I really like the content and your use of dialogue and emotion is fantastic. Can't wait to see where this ends up. JG-chan~~

I love this story. Ryou just breaks my heart -tear- and Malik needs to be slapped a few times. Garett/Malik -gasps- I knew it! Though I was hoping Malik would burst in and yeah...I was discouraged after that didn't happen but it looks like they're together. I dunno maybe i'm crazy.
