Awww... that was the cutest thing. Poor Yotan. Lovely writing, and Aya's such a sweety... in an awful, bitchy way. Heh. Now I'm going to find this alleged sequel!

The part with the nicotine patches and the ribbon-tied pack of cigarettes left on the worktable is *so* nicely done. I loved this story so much I went searching through god-knows-how-many pages to find the sequel, as it's just as good if not better. Absolutely charming, plus the insertion of the PR Guy adds a nice bit of depth to both stories ['...Aya picked *now* to develop a social life ?']

Oh, that was wonderful! The ending, with the exchange of nicotine patches and the crumpled cigarette package - really romantic! I actually squealed. Nice writing, too; wish I could remember all the phrases I wanted to praise (sadly, I am a bear of Little Brain). I loved the phantom pack of cigarettes on the bar. And sand really *is* wonderful - as was that solipsism joke. Don't see enough jokes about solipsism. Vacuuming the shop with his nostrils stands out too. The characterizatios of Aya and Yoji - and everyone else, but Aya and Yoji are the thing - are so good, Aya all sexy and manipulative (but not in an evil way), and Yoji eating himself alive with longing... All very entertaining indeed. And now I get to read the sequel!

Loved it! Clever Aya for coming up with a trifecta, and possibly improving Yohji's health as a result. You showed quite clearly how difficult it is to battle such an addiction, and how much Yohji's hopeful success means to both of them. I particularly loved the sentence that Aya had sharper ways of getting his point across, Aya's intervention with Ken, and of course, Aya's willingness to give a little with the nicotine patches.
