I hope you explore some of the less popular pairings, too - I usually find that they wind up being a lot more interesting than the usuals. Although I do have one objection to your explanation at the beginning - Disney does support gay people. They just aren't allowed to be quite so open about it, because they do produce a lot of family oriented stuff, and there's a great many parents who would blow their fuses if there was overt homosexuality in their precious child's cartoons. They have an impressive number of staff that are gay (the late Howard Ashman being one of the more famous ones). And there's even a gay day at the parks, but it's not publicized a lot (again, to appease censors and parents). And they definitely have poked fun at it, like Square, by crossdressing - multiple times. If you've ever watched Lilo and Stitch, especially the series, there's more blatant subtext between Jumba and Pleakly than there is of Riku and Sora!! So, yes, Disney does support gays. Until it is uninanimous within society, though, they have to be sneaky about it.
