A beutiful mix of happiness and sadness. Both Inuyasha and Kagome really are good in living day by day... the only thing they ever dwell on after it's over and done are encounters with Kikyo. So the scenario and way of thoughts are IC. They are indeed happy together as they are... but beneath it... I can sense the sadness. Thoughts of what could have been IF... and thoughts of how it will be when Kagome's gone. You've got me thinking with this one. And it's really an unusual approach... I've never before red a fic where Kagome stays as a friend for her life out. It's brave of you to put her in that situation and still make her happy about it. My heart would bleed had I written something like that.
