It's always better to get that stuff out in the open so everyone isn't taken by surprise later. ^_^ And I liked how supportive Hiei is of her. I'm sorry to hear about your losses. I recently lost several dear ones, and it just takes time to adjust to life without them. Don't rush or push yourself. Give yourself time to grieve.

Reviewed By: madmiko [MediaMiner Member] On: December 03, 2007 20:35 CST Comment/Review: Nice look into Kag's life in the 20s. And her reunion with Inuyasha was pretty good, too. So, he's mated? To Kikyou or someone else? It was really a sweet moment when he apologized to her. He was right, though, he should have done it a LONG time ago. And what a shocker about Sess cheating on her right before their wedding! That DOG! LOL! I'm looking forward to Inuyasha meeting Hiei, -- can't wait to see what he thinks of him. Well, can't wait to see what Hiei thinks of HIM, either. Interesting way to have some notes delivered. LOL! There's a lot to look forward to coming up! What's in the notes? And Sess' homecoming. Will he resume trying to woo Kagome? How will Hiei react? Thanks for the quick update!

Reviewed By: madmiko [MediaMiner Member] On: November 30, 2007 22:50 CST Comment/Review: Nice chapter! I like the idea of you showing scenes from the past the way you did at the beginning of this chapter. You really highlighted her responsibilites and her maturity and attention to her duty, as well as her generous and compassionate nature regarding the food situation during the droughts. Those paragraphs were very well written. I also liked the small interaction between her and Hiei. The time difference between the realms is interesting. I'm looking forward to Sesshoumaru's return and all that's coming!

Reviewed By: madmiko, notsignedin On: July 27, 2007 23:44 CDT Comment/Review: Nice to see a new chapter for this one! Interesting look into her past through her dream, though her thoughts were a little confusing. Being haunted in her dreams of a past she couldn't have -- I'm not at all sure what that means. It's a bit unclear. And her thoughts about people dying were rather confusing, too. She started out with "I'm going to die before him," and ended up with not wanting to have to see him die before her, along with their children. So, which is it? (Of course, any of them could be killed, so no one is guaranteed living their whole life with their spouse/mate, anyway.) And was the whole thing about her and Hiei, or someone else? And I forget, is she supposed to be immortal? Are demons NOT? Why would her children not be? Did I miss some important information somewhere? So, how long was she ruling as the Lady of the West with Sesshoumaru before he disappeared? And what prompted her thoughts of disappearing/faking her own death just 15 years later? Um, and why would Sess' guards say their Lady had died, -- surely Sesshoumaru would have informed his guards about the important guest he was expecting. And, why in the world would she wait until she was standing in an ALLEY to change into her formal kimono? LOL!! That just seemed bizarre. Why not just put it on at home before she left? Hmmm. And she seems to be stepping WAY back from her feelings for Hiei now. She LIKES him? What happened to him being the only male she ever thought of as her alpha? They sounded a LOT more established and committed a couple of chapters ago. What was the purpose of Yura meeting her there? Just to see her? You've set the stage for a lot of intrigue coming up. Whew! I had a lot of questions after this chapter. I probably need to refresh my memory on this plotline. I liked Kagome's thoughts while she cut her hair. That was really well-done. I'm glad you are writing again!

Then again you will probably hear that till your feed up with hearing it from friends and family. I know how you feel, I lost my father one year ago this coming monday, and I lost my grandmother this last March. It will take time for you to get back into the swing of things, just keep in mind to take your time. Don't rush into anything and try not to cut yourself off from the outside world. You may not write for a long time, I know I'm still having trouble writting. Just know that your readers will wait for you. Give yourself time to grieve. Reviewed By: madmiko [MediaMiner Member] On: May 09, 2007 01:55 CDT Comment/Review: Interesting. How in the world did Rena get Youko OUT of Kurama? He doesn't have a body, then, does he? All of the mother/father talk is very cryptic and mysterious. I would think Kurama would be a little suspicious of Shiori's behavior since it seems like such a turnaround. And she's got him running errands for her? What is he -- a delivery boy? LOL!! Oh, how the mighty have fallen to be so clueless. And he isn't getting concerned yet about Youko's absence? Hoo boy! Um, how can someone else place a claim on her if Kurama's claim came back when she chose Hiei? Wouldn't that just happen with anyone else, too? At least Hiei knows something is going on with Youko, so he can question Kurama. And he'll be on the alert to keep an eye on him and Kagome. You know, this fic is turning out to be QUITE different than I had imagined from the first few chapters. I'll be interested to see what happens at Sesshoumaru's. (Oh, and I had to laugh at the idea of a 500-year-old woman, who used to rule Japan, listening to Hoobastank and writing a blog on myspace. I would think she would want to keep a low profile. Heh heh!)
