And poor Bakura, the young innocent, shunned by his own father and forced to live life as a shut-in... so heartbreaking when a child is not allowed to be a child. I liked the idea of the census to determine the total members of the village. The horror Bakura knew as he saw his village slaughtered was what shaped the rest of his life. I'm really liking this story!

The census was just a pretence to find out how many were in the village, so that they would make sure to kill them all. Bakura was lucky in that. He probably will feel guilty for wishing his father dead and then he gets killed.
