Fabulous! This was a chapter to cherish. More Hiei/Kagome interaction, more hints, more tidbits, and a chilling ending. What more could I want? Oh, yeah, ... MORE!

Very interesting! So, King Enma had told the four siblings to increase the SDs' powers? And kagome increased Hiei's through a kiss? Hmm. But she was the only one who lost her match. Sad. I loved her use of the shadows and her brooding the night before. Hiei's disgust at her lifelessness seemed in-character. I wonder what he thought about what the others said the next dsay about her suffereing a loss? He was able to bring out her emotions with just a little taunting, eh? LOL!! She's not very lifeless in that case. Her brief thoughts about her friends in the past and the way the sorrow didn't overtake her like she thought it would was well done. It set up the kiss very nicely, I think. And Hiei's reaction to it was nice, too. I hope we get to listen in on his thoughts next time. I'm sure he's very confused at this point. Did he realize at all what she had done with that kiss? What about yusuke and Kurama? will they know that something is different? And will they realize where it came from? You've certainly given us a lot to chew on as we wait for your next chapter. Enjoyed it, and looking forward to more!

I just re-read these first two chapters, and I am still completely enthralled. This is such a wonderful beginning! My heart just bled for Kagome as Inuyasha proved yet again his stupidity by choosing to save a dead thing over her. I loved the awakening of her powers and the way she uses them. (The kiss with Miroku was HOT!!! The one with Kurt, too!!! ^_~) The story of the Shikon assasins is terrific, and I love the powers and identities you gave them. The evil in the shadows seems to think he can recruit Hiei to his side through the darkness in his own soul. I am thinking he will need to be saved by none other than our own broken heroine. And the thought makes me very happy. ^_^ I enjoyed the way you indicated a romantic past for Souta and Botan. And, surprisingly enough, since I generally don't care too much for OCs, I enjoyed the other two siblings you have created. Adair certainly seems a good match for Kurama, and Loch is very charming. Of course, my love and focus rests with Kagome, and hopefully, Hiei. This tale has a ring of epic potential in it, and I applaud you for being able to create and unveil so much already in two chapters. I can't wait to see what happens next!!

I really love the way this is beginning. Such an intriguing set-up. (And I am dearly hoping for a Hiei/Kagome pairing!) What a fascinating background story you created! I love Souta as the oldest brother. And you paired off Botan, -- yay! And Adair and Kurama? I am really looking forward to seeing what you have in mind for us next.

I really liked the beginnig of this story. You need to work on your grammar and spelling a bit, but other wise it is a very unique story so far. Can't wait for the next chapter! Please update soon!
