I really hate to tell you this, but this fic, while overall well-written, really misses the point of the whole show. First of all, it took a long while before Yuugi was really aware of Atem (The first time he really reaches out to him consciously was the duel with Pegasus), and they'd all befriended him long before that. Anzu had been his friend since grade school, and whatever feelings she had for his darker half, she's not going to throw away their friendship for Atem or anyone else. They all consider him a part of Yuugi and like him for who he is--ALL of who he is. For those reasons, I can't give props for this fic. Sorry. :(
