you evil person, i knew this would end in a cliffhanger, and this particular one as well. anyway, i like the way the plot fits into claymore manga and the fact it takes place in the past, instead of trying to force the characters into the same period. on the other hand i don't much like the interaction between shinji and rei - it's rather bland and uninteresting. i'd even take him acting like a dick, or displaying some petulant anger. especially in the scene where he's caught while escaping; the way he instantly surrenders is just meh. the other gripe is the asuka side plot. it seems tacked on and unnecesarry, because it ads nothing to the main story line and just rehashes the idea already seen in claymore while detracting from the story. you could have skipped those scenes and added them when asuka is introduced as an intro to her character. all in all it's an interesting idea and i would love to see this continued. from the way the earlier updates showed up i guess the story is not on a hiatus or abandoned. cheers.

Being an Asuka/Shinji fan I simply cannot enjoy this story fully. I still hope that you can make it Asuka/Shinji somehow but... Kind of boring if you ask. Nothing original and it was done in similar ways many times before. And it is not because I think that Rei/Shinji is boring in general so no wonder. It is just the theme was done to death in NGE fanfiction.
