The imagery conjured by the first half of this story was my favorite part. The sentence length seemed short at first, at least in my opinion, but as I read it the consistent length made it seem strongly poetic, something I really enjoyed about this work. The second half was less imagery and more story, which brought a conclusion to the whole thing and brought meaning to many of the ominous parts earlier, probably good for many readers but I liked the ominous feelings and wonder the first half provoked, just a personal thing. Revealing nothing about the main character was a nice touch too, allowing the readers to truly place themselves within the story. I believed the repeated intro at the end was a bit cheesy compared to the rest, but that's my only complaint. Good job.
