Okay, Adam Kadmon, I'll say you officially (if you haven't already) have it on female authority that girls indeed read this 'shit' (as you've so eloquently put it). I am - for the lack of a better word - awed. You have shattered my misconception that guys lack the delicacy and subtlety to spin so believable a tale of a pubescent virgin boy's first sexual encounter. The characterization is simply wonderful. Shinji, true to his shy, timid nature, and not to mention traditional/conservative views regarding sex, is hesitant to show Misato his nakedness, much less his masturbatory antics. But being the doormat he is, he permits Misato to persuade him into it, despite his discomfort with the issue. I would expect a certain naivety to occur with him, and you've portrayed that beautifully, showing how much of an innocent child he is - at least in the sexual sense. Speak of robbing the cradle, Misato, here, is predatory. Bad, bad Misato! It is wholly inappropriate and irresponsible to act so as a guardian toward her ward... but I'm not turning this into a debate of ethics. Tis human nature to exploit power when one has it in one's grasp - and the urge to steal innocence when another offers it so willingly is nothing short of compelling. And since Misato and propriety have never mixed, the situation as you have described it is quite plausible. True, the mention of romantic inclinations does redeem this story slightly in the moral sense. But while the act(s) may be consensual, it does not disguise the fact that this is a prime example of 'taking advantage'. What the heck am I saying? What prompted me to review in the first place is that this fic has gotta be the best lemon I've read in my admittedly short life, and is rendered still more distinctive for the absence of actual intercourse. To put it simply, this fic is very, very erotic. Incorporating the socially distasteful notion of 'robbing the cradle' only makes it all the more sinfully delicious. Another noteworthy mention is how your inclusion of Asuka in the first scene completely threw me off. I seriously thought it was gonna be an Asuka-centric fic, only to find that the scene was a mere plot device to get Asuka out of the house and leave my favourite NGE couple alone by themselves... How I was grinning in unrestrained joy... Yes, I'm aware that I'm being entirely too analytical about all this. And I took more time to write this than read the fic that instigated this overlong ramble in the first place, so I'll stop - here. Nevertheless, well done, Adam. -Quandary (Why have they not enabled paragraph formatting in reviews? Damn.)

Very good, I especially liked the tender moments. Nothing wrong with a little romance in there, it makes it much better. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Great story, it has all the awkwardness that you would imagine Shinji's first sexual experience would have. Keep writing.

Me likey. And every scene has just a little creepy awkward edge to it. Is this a one-shot or are you planning to continue it? The only tiny proglem I saw was where you said "per say" instead of the proper Latin "per se," but that's forgivable. Your writing style is otherwise pedestrian but also clean and unobtrusive and does not distract from the story you're telling, which is always a good thing. To recap, I

Nice bit of Misato/Shinji action after a sizable lull in new stuff to read. Only thing that was a bit of a let-down was the lack of actual SEX...oh, well! Next time, perhaps. :)
