Reviewed By: madmiko [MediaMiner Member] On: February 18, 2008 02:00 CST Comment/Review: Well, I'm now all caught up, but I'm going to read chapter 10 again in a minute. ^_^ I'll start my comments from chapter 8. When Kuwabara was studying, we got out first glimpse of his lingering thoughts of Yukina. It's sad, yet touching that he would still be thinking of her. I wonder how long she has been gone? It was cute that Kurama wanted to go see Kagome and Shippou, but didn't want to let Kuwabara know that he wanted to. ^_^ What does Kurama DO, by the way. You mentioned he was on vacation time. I was surprized that when Kurama suggested they go have some tea Kuwabara spoke right up with "Kagome would probably make better tea." After having had her tea ONCE. I guess he was sub-consciously wanting to go back, too, huh? ^_^ It was cute that Kurama steered Kuwabara where he wanted them to go. But it was even cuter when Kuwabara realized it. LOL!! It was such a sad little moment when Kuwabara was thinking that he and Kurama are like beauty and the beast. (He's NOT ugly!! Poor big lug.) And he proved just how insightful he is when Kurama commented on Kagome being lonely, but Kuwabara defined it better as her feeling out of place. I liked the little mention that she seems older than her friends. I LOVED the part where Kurama was questioning her about Shippou's age and she answered him evasively. Then she just flat-out told him not to beother because they both knew and they both knew each other knew. The tension and the way she knocked him back on his heels with her bluntness just tickled me. It was awesome! And I liked it when Kurama was finally interacting with Shippou by playing with him at the picnic in chapter 9 instead of just observing him with Kuwabara all the time. It's about time he got involved instead of standing on the sidelines. then Kuwabara engaged in the tickle fest with Shippou AND Kagome, but when he saw a couple walking by, he thought about Yukina. He's still caught in the past. But he feels at home with Kag and shippou. (And Kurama.) I know this is a Kuwa/Kag/Kur story, and I love it, but i am still wondering how you're going to handle that with them all living in the Ningenkai. It's going to look very unconventional. Will one of them actually marry her? And if so, which one? you've just got me pondering the possibilities. Heh heh! Great stuff!

Glad to see you finally got over writer's block! Quick, procrastinate some more so we can get some more chapters! I just love how you portray Kuwabara. Keep up the good work! BoxingKing

Reviewed By: madmiko [MediaMiner Member] On: February 17, 2008 04:26 CST Comment/Review: I had to devour 3 more chapters. ^_^ I like the way the two kitsune and Kagome soothe Kuwabara's own soul. And you coined a great term with the idea of a "combined weave of acceptance." I have really been enjoying the way you've described people through the way their aura affects Kuwabara. It's really quite clever and engaging. You left me smiling when Kuwabara was so startled because "no one had ever looked at him like that." The big lug needs some LOVE. Poor Kurama, -- he had to use his looks to distract Kagome's other friend. It's so hard to be so desirable. (Like I'd know what that felt like -- HA! LOL!!) Loved the bit about Shippou "claiming" Kagome as his mother. It's so obvious that you've put a lot of thought into the nature of kitsune and that makes this really great. The further interactions between Shippou and Kuwabara while Kagome made dinner were so nice. It's so intersting to see that Shippou didn't latch onto Kurama even though he has the soul of a kitsune. You explained it wonderfully, though, earlier when you talked about them adoring large souls. Makes perfect sense. And Kurama let Kuwa in on the fact that Shippou's not human. That really kind of tickled me since earlier Kurama had assumed Kagome would be a kitsune. ^_^ You described Kagome's soul so beautifully in chapter 7, it was sheer poetry. I was intrigued when Kuwa was so nervous about telling her what he was studying. Of course, Kagome would be understanding of the way everyone looked at him and expected him to only be interested in sports. I loved the tidbit about Souta being in the J-League. That was a great touch. It was fun, too, to see that Kuwabara and Kurama hadn't been sure that SHE knew what Shippou was until she talked about society judging people. I love the way you're letting her past experiences show through in her defensiveness when she thought they were saying that she and Shippou needed someone to take care of them. I really can't wait to hear how her adventure ended. What happened to dear old Inuyasha? I will catch up on the rest tomorrow, and then just sit and wait for your next update. ^_^

Reviewed By: madmiko [MediaMiner Member] On: February 17, 2008 03:34 CST Comment/Review: Hee hee hee! I'd forgotten how sweet the first few chapters were! I had to read three more before stopping to review again. ^_^ You did such an awesome job of letting us in on a lot of things about all three major characters. (And Shippou. ^_^) You defined a lot of relationships and you told us a lot about the nature of kitsune. In the 2nd chapter, Kuwabara called Kurama and thought about how Kurama was so polite that it was almost painful for him sometimes. Heh heh! then Kurama reassured his friend that he is always good for something. You're giving us hints that Kuwabara needs some ego boosting. He's really down on himself. I really liked the description of Kuwabara's impressions of Shippou's soul, -- he sounds a lot like Kagome. ^_^ It was interesting to see that the things Shippou told and about Kagome, and the WAY he told them, said so much to Kuwabara. In the 3rd chapter, we found out that some of what he said told even more to another kitsune. The hair length explanation was nicely done. I liked the insight we got into Kurama's interest in Kuwabara being partly because his gentle spirit was so at odds with his upbring and environment that he was an "anomaly." And he recognized Shippou for what he was right away and admired the way he could discern so much about Kuwabara at his age. "It was purely kitsune to adore the large souls of beings they met." Brilliant! In the 4th chapter, we finally get to see Kagome and Shippou reunited. Yay! If he'd been gone for hours, though, I'm surprized she didn't have a policeman beside her. I loved Kurama's surprize because he had been searching for a female kitsune. Heh heh! When Yuka was making eyes at Kurama and he got annoyed and thought that her eyes weren't even as precious a stone as ..., -- I couldn't help but giggle. ^_^ Loved the way both guys stepped up to "rescue" Kag from her friend. I'm going to read at least a couple more chapters tonight. This is such a great read! (And it's fun to read a fic where Kurama is the hero instead of the sneaky little bastard I'm making him out to be in my story. LOL!!) And, of course, it's just fabulous to see Kuwabara play such a large role. Go Kuwa!!!

I liked the way you set it up, with Kuwabara's sensitivity being so high. And you already let us know that Kuwabara and Kurama have become close. Moving on. ^_^

I was getting really sick of the image that Kurama was the pretty boy Kagome had to love and Kuabara was just the dumb sidekick. Thank you so much for giving me something absolutely wonderful to read. I'm really excited to see the next chapter, good luck!

Reviewed By: kokoronagomu [MediaMiner Member] On: December 26, 2007 21:57 CST Comment/Review: compared to 'the past' kagome's show of temper was mild... then again in the manga the only time i've seen multiple 'sits' was when yasha alluded to something between her and kouga after defeating the gokuraku-chou. there is a whole different dynamic between yasha and kagome in the manga as opposed to the anime. . . seems she's already adopted the guys as 'family', comfortable, loving acceptance. . . ^.^ ~ peace, ginny

Reviewed By: borrowed computer cause mine is broken =( On: December 19, 2007 16:08 CST Comment/Review: i guess that any personal questions should be asked much later in their friendship. if one is forthcoming in one's own story it would do much to garner trust from others... at least she didn't chase them out, just a quiet reprimand. . . i know shippo's toys, but the other artifacts? yasha's kotodama and the shikon no tama? . . . i was wondering when you were going to update this one, i'm so happy i could read it... there are a hundred alerts and this was the first i read =) ~ a pleasure, ginny
