I feel that you should just make your own franchise. Transformers, while having problems and stuff with every show/comic/game that came out, each one had a little something to spice up the franchise and add characterization, evolve the universe and oh you know that thing called well-written plots? I mean, as a Transformers fan I realize that the original show had issues and I'm not acting like it was infallible.

Thank you for this article. I too grew up on Transformers and GI Joe. I still watch cartoons and while entertained by them, I still believe that the toons I grew up with are the best. You are correct in that American values are reflected in television and I have seen the change. Our heroes are no longer beings (or robots) of honor and dignity. Today's heroes are good at being bad and are rewarded and cheered for it. Thank you again! |
