You wrote a Renji-fic! With no yaoi or shounen-ai! And it's not romantic drabble! And it's WELL WRITTEN! Thank you thank you thank you... I don't think it's so OOC, prob'ly Renji'd be more stoic about deaths, at least around his captain, maybe not. You've not done anything with his guilt tripping that the anime hasn't, if we take anything outside the manga into consideration. But the Renji-Byakuya interaction was fine aside from the question of whether Abarai-kun would dare to sail off on HMS Guilt Ship around el capitan. Too short, because real stories- especially ones with everyone's favorite stray dog as a centerpiece- are so hard to find... But for what it's trying to be, it's good stuph. With a ph. Which is better than the ff version. :) Specifically, your writing style has a nice flow, and is above average in the imagery and structure department. Spelling and grammar are good, an extra proofreading could fix a few minor errors. Not really heavily reliant on plot, and maybe not an earth-shattering new concept, but as perspective pieces go, you've got your own feel and a fresh presentation. So thanks again!
