Very cute. It could be a really interesting story if you want to expand it a little... I like that they picked a dog that didn't have a good reputation... but Great Danes are usually very docile. Sometimes a dog can maintain the size of the great Dane and have a different temperament when they are mixed. That would explain how it got into the shelter in the first place... anyway I liked the story...

Cute story. You should expand it to having Fuyuki protecting Kagome or her family when Inuyasha isn't around and the hero's welcome and treatment he gets for doing it, including a well done from Inuyasha.
