Your story is all over the place. I got lost between the chapters when the entire scene and setting changed. It is a wonderful premise and I was really into it for the first few chapters but then it just went crazy with all the back stories and flashbacks. I couldn't have understood it without your notes at the beginning and end, if at all. You should make sure that the storyline is clear to your readers before posting it.
