"All there will be for him to do is assimilate into the world of the future." Those words are prophetic aren't they? Inuyasha will have missed everything that happened to change his world into Kagome's world. And his friends will miss him and when he wakes he will miss his friends. I keep thinking that Sesshomaru is really going to miss his brother but just doesn't want to admit it. At least Shippo and Sesshomaru should be around still when Inuyasha awakens and they can help him assimilate along with Sango and Miroku's decedents. Then there is Kagome who will help Inuyasha in any way she can. Even though she loved him as a hanyou she will still love him as a youkai when he shows her that he is capable of feeling emotions still. I can't wait to see how they work it all out and how Sesshomaru welcomes his brother back into his life. I wonder if Sesshomaru or Shippo watch over Kagome as a child and find a way to watch over them both when Inuyasha visits the future.

and now for the 'big sleep'... yeah, sesshoumaru is probably saying "good riddance and if i live that long i'm going to avoid you like the plague." . . . so are you going to hit on a few significant events for his caretakers in the interim while he's hibernating or are you going to skip to the beginning of the twenty-first century? one hopes he has a bit of a head start to establish himself and be able to provide for her before it's time to show himself or is he going to show himself to her with nothing but the moth eaten fire rat begging for a hand out? it seems he doesn't have much of a plan now does he? ~ pleasure, ginny

great update... so they are on their way... inuyasha is coming close to being put to sleep... wonder what happens when they reach the one who will put inuyasha to sleep... seems that shippou & sesshoumaru will be there with inuyasha when he wakes since they are full demons and have very long life spans... will sesshoumaru mate with rin... rin was really nice to inuyasha... update when you can... please and thank you...

one hopes that when he gets to the one who's going to put him to sleep it will be successful. oops! i woke up 100 years too late, or something like that. . . no one is trying to talk him out of it, they're all resigned to his decision. are you going to have it possible for human mates to have the same lifespan then if lord fluffelopagus hooks up with rin when she grows up yasha can express his condolences. ~ delighted as always, ginny

Interesting story! Can't wait to see how Inu is put to sleep and how he is awakened. Will the youki survive with him into the future to protect him and wake him or will it be up to Miroku and Sango's decendants?

I don't blame Inuyasha for not wanting to be around his friends that resurrect the memories of Kagome. He misses her so much that they are still painful. What makes them more painful then if she died is that he knows that she is alive and well on the other side of the well, they are just seperated by time. I am not surprised at all that Miroku, Sango and Shippo all agreed to watch over Inuyasha until he reaches Kagome. He spent so much time and effort watching over them that it is only fair they repay the debt. I am interested on how you deal with no youkai in the future and Inuyasha's waking and seeing Kagome in the future. I think Kagome will love Inuyasha no matter what he is, hanyou, youkai or human. I bet she is upset when she realizes that she cannot get through the well and will be glad to see Inuyasha and Shippo but sad that she will miss seeing Miroku and Sango again.

and when he wakes up how will he win her back? . . . i have always thought that there had to be a way to conceal youkai in kagome's time, surely such strong and long lived creatures would still exist. . . i guess we'll just have to wait and see when you have him wake up, who will still be alive and what provisions will have been made. . . a bittersweet reunion, touching. ~ thank you, ginny

nice update... seems that inuyasha is setting his plans in motion... maybe if sesshoumaru & shippou are still around during kagome's time then they can help inuyasha have an identity in kagome's time with papers and stuff... what is happening with kagome through all this... hope things will work out for inuyasha & kagome in the end... update when you can... please and thank you...

Interesting. So he'll wake up in Kagome's time more or less the same hanyou/youkai from the feudal era. Sigh. Did he ever think far ahead enough about how he would still not fit in with Kagome's world even if he could see her again? Or maybe he can be unsealed a few years before actually meeting with Kagome. Maybe Sesshoumaru would be willing to provide aid in the modern era when he wake up? Yup, totally looking forward to more.
