Le sigh. I think that this fiction you could actually post on fanfiction.net, JFYI. But that aside... Absolutely amazing. Part of what gives your work its profound edge is the fact that you use history and throw in little facts here and there. Also, you tie in the realistic ramifications of the Inuyasha universe that we would never, ever see brought to light in the actual series (the devastation of the village in this fic). But perhaps best of all, is the way you tie in all of these elements, and bring them together into something that is so sensually, meticulously crafted... that it's just beautiful. Your strong, independent, but still empathetic Sango is perfect. The way you work in Kuranosuke (yet again) was just wonderful. His dirty secret - and the price he is willing to pay for it - the forbidden longing - it was just like a cherry on top. An extra treat on top of a wonderful, meticulously crafted piece of art. My goodness, scribe... I just cannot describe how utterly jealous I am of how profound your work is. Your talent is seriously the star I reach for. Your alter is the one I worship at. And now that I've creeped you out... I'm going to go enjoy some more of your "dirty little secrets" *wink*

Part of the reason I liked this so much was the attention to historical reality - that it was about Sango and her noble lover was just gravy - and the backwards look at what might have happened to those poor villages the group wandered through. Naturally, we all like to think things would have been worse without them, but certainly in this case that is far from true. I saw no flaws in grammar, spelling, or tenses. Thank you so much. And the voice of the narration, so matter-of-fact and devoid of passion when laying out matters of delicacy, pride, and sorrow, was perfect. As an aside, it is an interesting exposure of Takenada's desires in the requested pose. It is almost inspiration for another story, isn't it?

It was definitely unique, and I loved the description of your "picture of spring" of Sango. She isn't featured in enough fanfics. I myself am guilty of casting her aside in favor of Inu/Kag storylines, so it's nice to see somebody take a moment to give somebody else their fifteen minutes.
