I just wonder about Kazeko since you did not mention her. But I'll infer she ended up with Sessh. Great fic, sad to see it end

Up until the last second I was sure they would use Tenseiga on Yuki, but then I realized Sesshy wasn't there to tell them how to use it.

I totally lost it when Yuki confessed how she felt about Isamu, and the memories he relived at the end had me wallowing in grief!! you've done an amazing job drawing me into these characters lives that I often forget the parents are in danger as well!!! FANTASTIC CHAPTER! my only question now is will Sango and Miroku find them at Hakurizan, or will Isamu and Haruka have the terrible task of telling her parents?

It just didn't seem fair to end it like that after so many loyal years!!! Fabulous concept, and your time line helps quite a bit. Thanks for writing such a well thought-out fic!

You mean it's almost the end of the story :( But in all honesty I ban't wait for the climax, I wonder if it's going to be a reunion between the kids and the parents? In any case please update soon.

I feel bad for Kazeko and the 'dilemma of reincarnation' (does he like for me, or for who I used to be). I bet Kagome could have given her a lesson or two on the subject lol!

Comment/Review: Another great one. The mix between fun & games and pure, undiluted drama is really captivating, you know that? Quite frightening how well you do describe the gory parts of slaughter and genocide. That's actually what makes it such a brilliant read to me. So, aside from Sessh and SesshMom, there really aren't any full-blooded inu youkai any more? What a shame... What about Ayame's white Yourouzoku tribe - did they suffer extinction as well? Three teardrops for Kouga. Kagome will be mourning badly, I suppose!

Keep up the good work! ((And just curious, why do you capitalize the "M" in Sesshoumaru?))

| Reviewed By: milenalupin [MediaMiner Member] On: August 29, 2008 14:53 CDT Comment/Review: *amused* you asked for it...! Actually, the first two kanji in Sesshoumaru - i.e. "sesshou" - do mean (as a noun) (1) killing; destruction of life; (or, as a na-adjective) (2) barbarous; callous; brutal; cruel ... and "maru" (=circle) stands for "perfection". Perfect for a play on his name. *smirk* ..... But then, wwwjdic lists 25 entries on "destruction", and comparing the examples, I would have a hard time deciding which one to take myself. Other than that - still love the fic. I really envy your ability to describe fighting scenes - gory enough to be realistic, but not really stomach-turning. A lot of fanfic authors skip that part of a fic, partly because it is difficult to write, I suppose. So kudos! (Note on that monk... he's got to be pretty well-versed in sensing youki, isn't he? What he did sense about Kagome was InuYasha's baby, wasn't it?)

Comment/Review: Hi, me again... Still in love with fic, characters and plotline. And Kazuki. But Isamu grows on me, too. Hmmm, which one to take... (^_^) May I give you some concrit, though? I've noticed some mistakes in a few forms of address last chapter, and one of them is repeated in Ch11. So, if you allow, some pointers on Japanese family relations. The words "ani", "aniki", "nii-chan", "(o)nii-san", "onii-sama", "ani-ue" refer exclusively to elder brothers. The word for "younger brother is otouto, and, since he's by general rule lower in rank than his older siblings, rarely used with any kind of honorific (at most -kun or -chan, since both put stress on the fact that he is younger). So, since Haruka is Kazuki's older sister, she wouldn't really call him nii-chan (dear big-brother), but otouto-chan. On the other hand, expressions like "chichi-ue", "haha-ue", "ani-ue" and "ane-ue" are part of the strict ranking within a Samurai family, referring to and adressing own family members. In the InuYasha series, I've only ever noticed Sesshomaru (towards his father), and Kohaku (towards his father and Sango, his older sister) use them. I'm not entirely sure about this, but since I've never ever heard or read it, I don't think anyone would use "imouto-ue", because you don't use a highly honorifying form of adress towards someone lower in rank than yourself. In fact, the only honorific I've ever seen used towards a younger sister is "imouto-chan". Most of the time, though, younger siblings are called by their given name, occasionally plus -chan. Hope you don't mind my nitpicking... *blush*

Comment/Review: Oh my, there's really only one review for you... I feel ashamed, reading (leeching?!) 8 chapters, and not giving you any thank you back. I love the idea of your fic, the rising bad times for Youkai - explaining why there aren't any Youkai (visible) left in Kagome's time. A mass exodus to the north... Wondering whether they can live there in peace, or how far north they will have to move. Inuyasha/Kagome's family as well as Sango/Miroku's and Kohaku/Rin's are so, so precious... I adore Kazuki. All of his father's charm, but none of his pressure - that boy spells trouble. *grin* Thanks for fleshing out the kids in the end notes of last chapter. Some things were described in earlier chapters, but it's nice to see them drawn like this. Less confusing... Thanks again, and I look forward to reading more!
