Oh, and one more thing, love the blood and bloody ashes quote, I love fans of Wheel of Time (though I dunno if he originally coined the phrase or not, it's still a cool take on british casual cursing, heh). Anyway, love the story, and seeing that this pet doesn't die in a week (aura of death anyone?) it's rather amusing. Still, I do feel rather bad about Hedwig though. Bring her back as a zombie owl maybe? Heh. Continue to update, will ya? Ja ne.

Hell, everyone wants eyes that can see in the dark, that you have to get from a special doctor in a supermax prison. So hey, it's a win win scenario! Heh. Continue to update, this story is FUN! Continue to update, ja ne. Note: Still note sure about the pet, I'm thinking it's something that would feed on an aura of death, I'd think a thestral but something like a nundu might be it too. Neh. While the better newspapers do report events adequately well the reporting is always heavily nuanced by the official opinions of each newspaper (each one has a particular class and political affiliation). The tabloids do not hold such standards and it is often difficult to tell which bits are news and which bits are the writer's opninions. The Prophet is a very cartoonish take on the issue, but there is a large grain of truth in her presentation of it. And while there are an awful lot of lawsuits, out of court settlements and very smally printed corrections, the situation is still very much the rule, not the exception. Cynical Harry's a very fun character and I especially enjoy the fact that you've not needed to bring some crappy OFC in to highlight the poorer areas of Rowling's writing and world-building. Nice work, very entertaining.
