This is amazing! Good writing, good story, this setting fits the actual BLeach plot, which i haven't seen often. And we can already see the ichiruki. And thank you for the footnotes! I only vaguely remembered who Santa Anna was, and I know essentially nothing about the Texas terrain/weather/conditions, now or during the dust bowl period. I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for your next update!

Wow, I cannot believe that no one has reviewed for this story yet. It's phenomenal. Really, I immensely enjoyed this first chapter. The description was off the charts and you paired it with such a clear and flowing writing style that it was coherent and beautiful. The way you've set the first chapter up is fantastic as well; its very close to the canon, with Renji coming to take Rukia--but this time Ichigo tags along. And wanted for robbery and murder? This sounds like its going to be very interesting. Not to mention you also skillfully added in the bits of impending romance, with Ichigo's thoughts about Rukia and such. I truly enjoyed reading this and I can't wait for more. For some reason, the Wild West persona of this story really works for the Bleach setting... I don't know why but it really does... anyway, yay for you! Keep going please!
