Comment/Review: I enjoyed this very much. In addition to the story being good, I'm always a sucker for completed works going up all at once.
| Reviewed By: kokoronagomu [MediaMiner Member] On: September 22, 2008 16:50 PDT Comment/Review: if we look at human gangs or any structured 'human' society it could be likened to a pack mentality. one may not have to in all cases exert one's dominance in a physical sense (financial, popularity, intelligence/charisma etc.) but there will always be a 'head', even in a democratic or representative government there is usually one who 'chairs'. ♣ as the canine youkai one would assume similar behaviors and social structures when they aren't all that far from our own(i believe canine pack language and the 'absolute' authority of the alpha would in some cases be different although if one looks at gang/mob/yakuza/military behavior... ♠ quite an interesting study and adaptation, executed eloquently. quite an entertaining, captivating and intriguing story. ♦ entranced ♦ ginny

I'm definitely going to recommend this story to others. I loved the way you did the canine behavior thing. I think that it's spot on that InuYasha would have an extremely difficult time relating to others without his canine instincts dictating hierarchy and such. The Inu aspect being the dominant part of his personalty makes perfect sense because that is the cause visually and with his demonic senses and power. The fact that by it's very nature, the demonic traits of a hanyou must be the dominant traits in their being explains why they must have a time where the demonic aspect completely recedes, leaving just the human part of themselves. It restores balance to their being, which was, during the rest of the month, primarily demonic. InuYasha's need for a pack structure could never be overcome except during his night of weakness, but even then, his human aspect would not be able to let go of it, just like most humans cannot let go and see beyond their own culture, when another culture's system is contradictory to their own... ok I think i need to shut up now :P lol I liked the story a lot and I really look forward to whatever you put out next!
| Title: More of the Same Reviewed By: King Baka [MediaMiner Member] On: September 22, 2008 13:57 PDT Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 10 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 10 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: This story is more of the same from you...and that's a good thing. More of the same originality, creativity, style, and incredibly enjoyable works of fanfiction. I have never seen Inuyasha's demonic nature so artfully constructed, nor so perfectly balanced with his human side. I don't like it when Inuyasha's demon nature comes out too much, but you did an excellent job keeping it in balance. As for Kagome...well, we always knew she had it in her ;) A major pet pieve of mine is that Kagome has to remove Inuyasha's rosary before or soon after they get together. Then again, you're the first author to go against this without making me cringe. My problem with the rosary is that people in relationships need to be equals; you can't have one person with too much power over the other. However, to my unending amazement you managed to make Inuyasha and Kagome equals without removing the rosary. This story isn't going to change my pet pieve, but it will give me a whole new perspective on the matter. I really enjoyed how you characterized events that happened in the animanga, such as Inuyasha barging naked into Kagome's room. You said a lot in this story; this is definately a thinking man's (or woman's) fic. But all the contemplation and reflection led to something, a conclusion that left me extremely satisfied. The lemon was amazing, complimented with just the right amount and substance of dialogue. Overall, this is right up there with 'Backwards Blanket' as my favorite works by you, and just in general. Keep up the great work (pretty please).

| Reviewed By: psyco_chick32 [MediaMiner Member] On: September 22, 2008 09:33 PDT Comment/Review: *grins* I love all your stories so much! I'm very fond of the alpha-beta thing, especially when it comes to InuYasha's pack being mostly human!! Thanks for a fantastic story and an excellent lemon at the end... You're right, when you write, porn IS plot!! (sorry, I'm kind of exclamation-mark-happy today...) Only one thing I notice - you have a tendency to use "passed" instead of "past". For example, it is "past" the well, as past is a synonym for "beyond", as opposed to "passed", which is a past-tense verb (and the well won't do any passing, except for the passage of time, as it's fairly stationary!) *grins* Sorry, I've got a little grammar-nazi blood in me...

| Reviewed By: madmiko [MediaMiner Member] On: September 22, 2008 02:58 PDT Comment/Review: That was cute. ^_^ Using the documentary to explain Inuyasha's canine behavior was a nice touch. I'm always intrigued by fics that explore his inu youkai side. And while the whole "alpha" bit has been done many, many times, I really liked your take on it with him seeing the two of them as being engaged in a challenge for the alpha position until she draws blood and wins. It was a nice set-up for a satisfying "mating." ^_~
