Wow, I have a new favorite. I'll admit that the Twelve Kingdoms is one of my favorite and that I'm not often interested in reading fanfics about it, bit your's just caught my interest. Your spelling and grammer is quite good and I'm quite impressed by the flow and rhythm with how the story progressed. A word to the wise: indicate scene change. There were a few times where I had to read back over a couple sentences to make sure I was correct in assuming that you had switched characters.
