Awww... It was an adorable snapshot of their relationship, and how much they care for their family, including Bella as well, long before she becomes part of their family. It reminds me of the quote by Alice talking about how they would feel if Edward lost Bella. It was very nicely written for not having any REAL(Stephenie Meyer given) reference points on Carlisle's mental take on the situation. Extremely believable. I was confused for a few minutes about when this was, then I felt stupid when I figured it out. xP

perfect. you so rarely get the glimpse in to Carlise's head and you just have to wonder how he thinks and reacts since he has had so much time in his skin.
