Read the summary liked the idea, even though, I already felt Luffy was smart :) Something i often wonder myself is why its painful to know things, why innocent naive people are often depicted as happy. Or why a genius would insult a less than smart person by bitterly calling them 'childish'. I think being 'smart' is a load of bollocks! ^-^ Knowledge is only as a good as the person that uses it, in Luffy's case he's too good for it. Luffy understands all the things that can't be measured and all things illogical: One piece. He creates things out of sheer solid belief and that intensity is something i believe only a very focused, pure, idiot can do. I cry thinking that someone like this could feel shame for the very thing that makes them an absolute invaluable gem of a person! :P
