Well, I liked all of the other ones, too, and shame on me for not reviewing before, but I really appreciated the Kohako/Kirara introspective you offered us in "Partners". All of her reasons for choosing the male kitten over the female make perfect sense, of course. Kirara is definitely her own person with her own mind, and not just some pet obeying orders. Well done!

I hardly ever review. If I did, I would leave a trail of battered egos in my wake. Most stories, here lately, don't deserve to be reviewed. I can barely get through the first ill conceived paragraph. (and that's only if they bother with paragraphs) I wanted to let you know that I truly enjoyed your writing. After reading this collection of one-shots, I went back and read your other stories. You have an impressive tone and structure that I rarely get to see. You keep the characters true, while building an impressive and plausible back story that carefully and effortlessly gives the reader a hint at the causes of the character's development. You have been able to capture the emotional discord in a way that is often ignored. I also wanted to tell you that I have never given 9s. Even to some of my tried and true favorites like Terri Botta and Knittingknots. While they write very clean, tightly woven yarns, with some originality, your tales are more emotionally driven and seek to answer questions that Takahashi has left those of us that are die-hard fans with. Your attention to detail, sentence structure, spelling, punctuation, imagery and characterization are all deserving of this rating. I swear, if I had to read one more person having InuYasha pick Kagome up "bridal style", or share a "blood bond" or even misuse the words "then" and "than" interchangeably, I was going to have to go around the damn country hacking off hands.
