Heh heh! Apologizing WOULD be one of the most difficult things for Hiei to have to do. But once he put it into perspective, and like you showed with the song, realized he was willing to do all those other things for her--including die--then he knew he needed to buck up and tell her. Nice choice for a songfic. ^_^
