I'm going to be brutally honest here. Your writing needs some work. You constantly switch back and forth between tenses. Your dialogue is not realistic. Real people use contractions when they speak, remember that. It would probably help you a lot to get a beta reader. Someone who can go through your finished chapter and edit it for you. I'm not trying to be overly harsh, I just know that if someone had left me a comment like this, my first couple fics wouldn't have sucked so much. I do like the story though, so I'm looking forward to the next chapter :)
