Thank goodness their village still faired so much better than the others. It doesn't surprise me that Kohaku was smart enough to deliberately leave something with his scent on it for Inuyasha to track. This story is getting very interesting, indeed. I can't wait to see who "Master" is, and just what, exactly, he has planned.

Excellent update! I can't wait to see what happens next, even though...ya know...I kind of have to. ;-)

I know how hard it is to find information on feudal Japan! Really love your writing and am looking forward to the rest of the story! BTW when does Chapter 5 take place? If Kouga has not seen Shippo for 9 years is this 6 years after Kagome has returned? Anyway love the story!

Comment/Review: seems every new story I read is one that my splendant goddess reads, lol guess its cause we have the same taste. Any way I really like this so far, and loved how you used the quotes. The new trouble with demons is cool and for what all I've seen original. Love the wedding comment about Rin, and the lemon was well done, extremely realistic for a first time, some ppl end up having them go on forever.. And while I guess that's explainable through his demonic blood, it reeeally kind makes the rest of us guys envy his stamina. There were some of the questions you had that I was gonna answer but I can't seem to remember many of them right now, except for the fact that they have a shrine in fedual era which has already been answered. Though all it really ever shows of the shrine is the huge gate way thingy, the stairs, and Kikyos grave.. I think there was a small building behind the grave though... Not sure. I'll go back and answer the other questions later, oh and also, I don't think I've ever heard Kagomes mom named either, but I never heard The Inu no Tashio named Toga either, maybe in the japanese version though, I've never paid close enough attention to catch any names.

I wonder what could be causing the lower youkai to turn on themselves like that? Some kind of weird disease? That's all they need, the lower youkai of the world developing some kind of cross between rabies and mad-cow. That would certainly explain why there are no more youkai of that nature come Kagome's time, though. Good job coming up with an original idea. Also, I loved how you incorporated those few quotes from the manga, since that part of the final chapter of the manga does take place a little after Kagome first returns, and would then clearly need to be incorporated into any post-manga story that starts with Inuyasha pulling Kagome out of the well. I think you worked that scene in nicely, and the jab about Rin's future wedding was genius. I think Sesshoumaru put his foot in Jaken's mouth with that one, admitting that he cared about the girl's view on weddings one way or another. Whoopsie, hehehehe. Can't wait to see where you take things from here!

What with the nervousness and poor Inuyasha finishing too fast. xD At least Kagome was lucky enough to get release her first time. =3 Very nicely done. I can't wait to read more!
| Reviewed By: little_white_kitsune [MediaMiner Member] On: October 13, 2009 13:13 EDT Comment/Review: I just started reading this, so I might leave a real review later. xD But I read your reader's question in chapter one, and while the manga says absolutely nothing as far as where Kagome's shrine is located, in the first episode of the anime, Kagome asks Kaede how to get back to Tokyo. While it's not canon, as far as I know, you could use that if you wish. On another note, I think that whole thing with Kagome's mom having a name is a rumor. It doesn't say as much anywhere in the manga, and if it was printed in a magazine somewhere, it's probably the same story it is with Inuyasha's father being given the name "Toga". It doesn't exist, they simply made it up for easier record purposes. (Inu-papa's was for the third movie's script or something)

I'm still curious to see where you are going with this story, as far as what adventures will end up happening that attempt to get in the way of their happiness, but I completely understand wanting to get the 'wedding' and 'wedding night' scenes over and done with so that they can at least have a little happiness before something ends up happening. You also made an excellent point in regard to the condition of Inuyasha's hands that I don't think I've ever seen anyone else mention before. So many people give him calloused, rough hands from years of fending for himself and fighting and whatnot, but you're absolutely right, with his healing abilities, his hands would be soft and new, regardless of how hard of a life he's had to live. I can't believe I never even thought of that before, and I might be borrowing your logic in the future ;-). Oh another note, I wouldn't worry too much about what may or may not differ from the manga once they complete the last branch of the anime. Most hardcore fans don't consider the anime or movies 'canon' to begin with, so if you want to stick to post-manga, stick to post-manga. I can almost guarantee the anime will veer off from the original plot of the manga at least in some small ways, considering how different the preexisting anime series is from the manga in many ways already, although the anime-fan within me is hoping they use that opportunity to have the characters do more than just 'hug'. But if you follow the movies, then Inuyasha and Kagome have already shared a kiss, so it depends on where your loyalties lie in the wonderful world of fandom. My advise is just don't worry about it, and write your story how you want to.

I think any decent post-manga story should revisit the final chapter with the author's own personal twist on the thoughts and emotions of everything Takahashi illustrated, so nicely done. You have displayed that you are a competent author, yet your story remains a blank canvas to us all. Pray tell, where do you plan on taking us from here? It is the question we ask ourselves that forces us to tag this story as "Favorite", that we might wait in hope of the answer. Anticipation abounds.
