It was so hot and sweet at the same time! Even though it's an AU, it was very much in character for those two. Miroku the incorrigible yet vulnerable flirt and Sango the sweet, insecure badass. This story encompassed all of that. Great job!

As someone who was in a long distance relationship for a couple of years, I have to say that you absolutely nailed the description of the anticipation. While Lady Griddlebone said that the description in the beginning was a little heavy, I think that it was apt because that's exactly how it felt to me in the hours waiting to see my SO, heavy with thought and anticipation. It's all about "Am I pretty? Is this relationship working? What clothes and makeup will flatter me the best? Am I getting what I want from this person? Is he?" It's all about finding ways to talk yourself out of it (because long distance relationships are so hard), but still reminding yourself of all the reasons it works for you. And the sexy times were good. And so was the discussion at the end, left at a compromise and the promise of a new relationship. Very nice!

All good points except I have a different opinion when it comes to Sango's personality. I never - at least intentionally - attempt to overlay Canon preconceptions of certain characters when reading an AU. I think "in-character" is a phrase that should be reserved for the Canon world, and when it comes to AU, the author is free to twist the players however they want. When it comes to Inuyasha, I've seen everything from the self-loathing 'half-breed' whose father beats him, to the narcissistic playboy who accidentally falls in love, to the criminal vigilante with blood on his hands and a kind heart, and when it comes to Kagome the spectrum is even wider. I've seen good girls gone bad, bad girls gone good, the geek/nerd/freak Inuyasha was 'dared' to date, the propheted 'chosen one' born with the Shikon jewel, and the one and only girl in all of Japan, save for her mother, who isn't racist against hanyou. So what's wrong with Sango getting caught up in a casual, sexual relationship that gradually turns into love, where she ends up realizing too late that she's in way over her head, head over heels in love with a man she still honestly doesn't know a thing about? Honestly, I was just glad to see a new, well-written and enjoyable San/Mir fic added to the mix. Well done!

It's certainly been a while! Moving on to the meat of this review... You're very good with description; you give a very good picture of what's going on and what the characters are wearing and doing, but there were a couple of places where I felt the story dragged a little under the weight of description. This was mostly in the beginning, and got better as the story went along. I also liked the ending, that you gave the characters a realistic emotional struggle and plight. Many people romanticize long-distance relationships, or simply portray one of the partners giving up his or her life to go live with the other, and it's usually not so simple. The only real problem I saw was that, well, for much of the fic I had a really hard time picturing this woman as Sango. I'm not quite sure what it was, but something about this heroine didn't mesh with my inner picture of Sango's personality; it might have been her willingness to have such a casual fling, I'm not sure. By the end, she seemed a lot more like Sango than she did in the beginning. I expect to see Sango being a bit fierce, and holding true to values of loyalty and fidelity, not screwing around with a guy she doesn't even know isn't married. I have to admit, it was a bit jarring to read her portrayed that way. But overall, this is still a lot more readable than most of the fic out there; I just think it works best if you don't go into it expecting it to hold true to certain interpretations of Sango's canon personality.
