In Dutch we call your story a `schot in de roos`: spot on. I think you captured the tension between Damon and Elena perfectly. You didnt say to much, nor to little. I just loved it. :) (One little tip: you should check your spelling, there are quite a few mistakes. Also; according to L.J. Smith its Stefan and not Stephan ;) Other than that it was great!)
