Wonderful update. I'm glad Inuyasha brought Kagome back to the castle. With him willing to take her to visit her family's graves, there really is no reason for her to resist their insistence that she stay with them, and with her knowledge of herbs, she really will be useful to them, or at least useful to Kaede. I'm really liking how this is going. Keep up the good work!

Loved the update! I too hope that Kagome won't be seriously injured after all of that. I think Inuyasha was probably arguing with himself over whether or not he should act on his unexpected feelings for - with all honestly - a perfect stranger. But we all know how drawn to Kagome Inuyasha always is, because regardless of what kind of background he has in any particular story, Kagome is always the only one who treats him like an equal, and that is something worth being drawn to. He obviously got there as soon as he could or she never would've been injured in the first place, probably just showed up shortly before she awoke, devastated to find her in that state. Somehow, I don't think Kagome will have to worry about fending for herself any more after this scuffle is over and done with.

great chapter! lots of scary stuff happening-- one guesses that the villagers feel that 'the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few' (*chuckles* at my star trek quote ['wrath of kahn']). poor girl, hope she doesn't have brain damage from her ordeal. ♥;

nice beginning. it is still acceptable for women to be submissive in most asian cultures, so takahashi-san's depiction of women in most of her stories are quite revolutionary. i like that you don't give kagome a submissive voice, since she didn't have one in canon. in the era where this story is set they probably would avoid her as they would anyone who isn't right in the head. ♣ one hopes no one saw kagome go off with inuyasha as they would either abuse her and possibly kill her for making herself a youkai's whore or kick her out of the village. ♥
