Glad Inuyasha's eyes are slowly starting to open. I realize this is shota and probably won't progress into Inuyasha's adulthood, but I can so see a mature, collected (for the most part) and hell of a lot stronger Inuyasha taking no crap from anyone...except Sesshoumaru, to whom he will remain loyal throughout the duration of his life. Whether or not Sesshoumaru would actually have any interest in an adult Inuyasha is decidedly another topic altogether, but it's my fantasy so I can do whatever I want with it! LOL, in the mean time, really looking forward to the next update of Inuyasha's childhood years. Good job!

I hadn't thought about the Inu no Taisho not recognizing Inuyasha's blood as his own. That was funny when Sesshoumaru's parents had thought he'd murdered some random human. I loved when Sesshoumaru's eyes lit up when his father said he'd bet Tessaiga, LOL. It's nice to know when you're right about something that others don't believe 'yet'. Kouga barging in was another surprise, because after his parents' reaction I was confused how the wolf immediately recognized the blood as Inuyasha's, but the way you explained it made perfect sense. And that brief lemon at the end there? Also perfect. Keep up the good work!

For a second there I thought it was a little out of sequence when Inuyasha started murmuring in his sleep right away and Sesshoumaru reacted without the freak-out of realizing that his human and hanyou selves were the same person, but when you finally got to that realization I think you handled it beautifully, and looking back on it, I can see how he can respond with his "Hush, little one" and what have you without coming to the epiphany himself at that moment, because Sesshoumaru was just so caught up in the moment that not much of anything else was registering. Hell, he forgot Miroku was human! But I love the way you did have him have his realization, he needed to have that gut-wrenching guilt moment, that "Oh god..." moment you gave him. I loved that. I also love the approach he's going to take, letting the cat out of the bag, or human, as it were, and merely confining Inuyasha to his own quarters for his protection during his human nights. Do I smell future human-Inuyasha limes on the horizon? It would be a new experience for Sesshoumaru, that's for sure. And! I absolutely love that you hinted to his full-youkai side! I've been wondering from the very beginning if his youki powers were going to reveal themselves or not. On the one hand, I'm pretty sure we're supposed to just be led to believe that Inuyasha is the same Inuyasha we've always known and loved (though a younger version, obviously, with a tremendously fucked up childhood) and the resistance was more or less just beaten out of him. Not sure what it would take to get him to lash out, since his brain isn't wired that way any more, but I would love to see him swipe his hand at somebody shouting "Leave me alone!" and little blades of energy come flying from his fingertips, everyone, including Inuyasha, staring in shock. But...on the other hand, I can't forget that you made reference to Inuyasha's father being some random, lower youkai who was killed for his relationship with a human woman. One could presume that Inuyasha's youki is still at relatively the same levels as Canon-Inuyasha considering he still only turns human one night a month, but it's definitely true of this universe that he did not have a daiyoukai father, which is the real reason Canon-Inuyasha is as powerful as he is. As for your little guy, one would think with the number of times he's been beaten as a slave that if his full-youkai side was going to show himself it would've done so by now, so Sesshoumaru's plan of just asking Inuyasha directly seems like the most logical course of action. I can't wait to find out what the answer is! And hey, this should help slave-Inuyasha's self-esteem, because if it turns out his powers can be brought out and he really is powerful, that'll mean he's worthy of Sesshoumaru after all because only somebody as powerful as the prince could handle a full-blooded Inuyasha on a rampage! Keep up the good work!

You have captured my heart with Sesshomaru's little puppy and with Sesshomaru himself. I love their interaction, especially when Sesshomaru realizes he can't immediately start treating Inuyasha with kindness since the slave training has taken self confidence and awareness and everything else from him and trained him to take the blame for practically anything and everything whether it was his fault or not. Oh, and Inuyasha is absolutely adorable like this! Even though I love the original Inuyasha, this one is just amazing and cute and well "squeeze" worthy, lol. The last two chapters were so heartbreaking. Made me tear up the first time I read it (this is my second time, by the way, I usually read fanfics more than once so I don't miss anything crucial). I don't usually cry when reading stuff, I've only had that experience like ... two or three times. Anyway, love the story and characters. I like that you took Miroku as the castle healer, too. Fits him ... in a weird way, but *shrug*. Please update soon! I'm DYING to know what happens next!!!

Your spelling and grammer is good (as far as I can tell) I really enjoyed reading it, it is a very fluff filled story, but it has harder stuff in it too so it isn't to sweet. So overall I really liked this story and I really hope you continue writing it. I can't wait to see if Sesshy still likes Inuyasha and if Inuyasha is ok. Keep up the good work!

I mean, why would we kill you for sending the Great Lord Sesshomaru to save his little puppy? Granted it was left on a cliff hanger but oh well. Great job and I can't wait to read more! This is probably one of the most original fanfics I've read in awhile. Most slave/master stories turn out pretty bad, but this has the potential for something better! Heck if you changed a few names and a few character descriptions you could turn this into a real story that could be published.

I liked the way you ended that cliffhanger. Clearly, Sesshoumaru's previous worries that he had been trying to dismiss, that Inuyasha's hanyou-self and human-self could possibly be the same person, have overridden his doubts and denials. He wants his puppy back, and even if the human child was not his puppy, he couldn't very well let him die, now could he? I am really looking forward to the next chapter, which I'm sure will involve Sesshoumaru rushing to Inuyasha's aid in some fashion or another. I am mentally squee-ing in preparation for the moment when human-Inuyasha opens hazy eyes and murmurs "Sesshoumaru-sama?" or what have you. Let the guilt begin! On a side note, I like that you have Sesshoumaru making the ridiculously inaccurate assumption that Inuyasha's hanyou and human personas are different and independent from one another. You could've just as easily had him merely be disgusted with the fact that Inuyasha turns human and been done with it, but prejudice like that would've been harder to overcome. With the way you are portraying Sesshoumaru, I get the distinct impression that once he realizes that Inuyasha is the same person even during his human night, he won't be so quick to mistreat him. There was also that brief "So…it is true…" moment of his thoughts, so the blame cannot be placed entirely on Inuyasha's shoulders for having failed to reveal his secret to his master. Sesshoumaru had already heard about it! Anyway, great update, and now I'm super looking forward to the next chapter. Keep up the good work!
