I have read Kiss me Goodbye, and it was quite sad, but this one-shot made me cry! I just love a little dose of angst and this tops my chart. I'm not a Kikyo fan (never was, never will be) but I have to say that she has redeemed herself in my eyes. Of course, she will never be the heroine in my type of Inuyasha fantansies, but for now, she is okay. Beautiful companion piece. This was really well done, and definitely gave us the closure of seeing things from Inuyasha's point of view. It does make sense that, growing up in the world he's lived in, he would have some lingering doubts when it came to the validity of anyone's love for him, but Kikyou's right, to doubt Kagome's feelings for him...it does her a huge injustice, and she doesn't deserve it.
