The way you describer Kagome does seem human, in fact you validated her character's realness. | Reviewed By: Angelica_Pierce [MediaMiner Member] On: June 16, 2011 12:55 EDT Comment/Review: Love it. This is something I’d love to see expounded upon. Inuyasha does often treat her like she’s a given staple in his life and he doesn’t need to be terribly concerned with her feelings. Kagome does need to be able to let herself be human, and furthermore perhaps let others (meaning Inuyasha) know that she needs to be given just as much attention in his heart as others. In any case, great piece. | Reviewed By: sakushisei On: June 16, 2011 08:49 EDT Comment/Review: Nice and IC. Kagome might not have lived through a drama like Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku or even Shippo and she doesn´t need to, to have the same negative feelings like them because she is human. It´s nice to see a human side of her which is rare as she always tries to be the rock for the group because (mostly Inuayasha and Sango) they are emotionally crippled and even if they are warriors they fall ironically easier into traps than her. What Kagome makes so strong is that she knows she has a darker side in her (her resentment and jealousy for Inuyasha and Kikyou) but acknowledges them and accept them for what they are: normal human emotions. After all that´s why Hakudoshi couldn´t control her for long and I doubt anyone else could have done what she did. She acts sometimes childish, which is normal for a fifteen year old, but when it´s really serious no one can match her maturity when it counts most. That´s what makes her such a loveable character and no matter how many other series I follow there is simply no other female character I admire more. But you know, the scene with Kaou really pushed me in the direction that Kagome can´t really be happy with Inuyasha because he was still so fixated on Kikyou and I don´t understand why. I don´t hate Kikyou, she doesn´t deserve that but they were not exactly pretty close or even very long together until they were tricked by Naraku. I always thought it was the what if´s, her being his first love and him putting her on a pedestral after she died why he always turned blind to anyone else when Kikyou appeared. Inuyasha needs time to mature. That´s always been one of the reasons why I love the Sess/Kag pairing so much. He already has a certain level of maturity and her character would bring the best out of him. | Reviewed By: Snowfall [MediaMiner Member] On: June 15, 2011 14:13 EDT Comment/Review: This was a nice piece. In my opinion, Kagome doesn't get enough understanding from the Inuyasha audience. Thanks for writing it. |
