WOOOOOOOW! You are amazing! How do you think of stuff like that?? This story had me from the first chapter and like I was sitting up straight until I reached the end of what was posted! I was never bored and I found your Naraku character to be surprisingly constant and easy to understand. Despite being so evil he is a well developed character. So are Kagome and especially Inuyasha. Finally buggered up the courage to read this fic and it was awesome! Can't say that I like the little part when Naraku raped Kagome, but was to be expected because I know that it will contribute to the story later. (; Will not be too good if it was an easy happy ending eh? Lol. I love how you wrote the story so far, and how you make the situations so detailed. Your stories are always awesome. Oh man...longer update this time, cool! Six months? Well, I guess there's really no point in detailing every day if it's just been more of the same, so I don't mind the time jump at all, though I'm curious how the others are still alive in a prison made of miasma after six months. I suppose the most logical answer is they are alive because Naraku hasn't desired to kill them, LOL. I'm sure he's either A, giving them food and water, or B, he's actually still got some kind of funky control over their bodies that they're in like a type of almost-stasis so that they don't need food and water. If he can freeze them up so they can't move then he has full control of their bodies, which should mean control over whether they starve to death - or die from breathing in all that miasma. He's probably screwing with their systems enough to keep them just as they are, alive but in pain and suffering. A good question though is why, Inuyasha is right to question it. Truly, this whole thing has just been to torment Inuyasha with the knowledge of that ultimate failure? But why not kill Sango and Miroku? Inuyasha's right, he was going to, even I had been sure of it, and then suddenly he changed his mind. Some kind of lingering, tiny remnant of Kagome influencing him somehow, perhaps? And what's this with Inuyasha's youkai creeping up on him without his knowledge? Also...Miroku actually suggested that Inuyasha let himself go full youkai? They are desperate. Although...I hate to say it but from a battlefield point of view, Miroku and Sango's sacrifices would be worth it, if it ensured Naraku's demise. Now, though, there's also the matter of that baby, and whether or not it will truly be devil's spawn, and will Kagome ever get her brain back? Oh the drama! Phew...for a second there I thought Miroku and Sango were really goners. Naraku reminds me of Dr. Evil, in a way, since he has had and continues to have ample opportunity with which to kill his enemies, but from a desire to prolong their suffering he's holding off, which will ultimately lead to his own demise. Scott: "Why don't you just shoot them? Bang! Dead." (or something like that) Dr. Evil: "I have an even better idea. I'm going to put them in an easily escapable situation involving an overly elaborate and exotic death." LOL, Naraku is the unfunny version of that. I agree with your need to show Naraku's own point of view; this was a good chapter, if a little short. But I also agree that it seemed to end on the perfect note, short or not. Still, I am on continual pins and needles to see how Inuyasha and Kagome (and the others) manage to get out of this one. I suppose if Kagome could somehow purify the evil out of the baby, knowing her, she wouldn't want an 'innocent' baby to be harmed just because of who the father is. But something tells me this is no normal, innocent baby. Naraku needs a son, does he? It's like he's planning on having himself reborn within her, a new body or something, like the Phoenix being reborn from its own ashes, but in a more human, biological sort of way. At least now we know why Kagome went zombie at the end there, with Naraku's 'essence' within her too much for her soul to bear and so she shut down more or less, fully consumed and overwhelmed by his evilness. Damn...you're a good writer! And you're working on two more new stories already?! Well hell, you go girl! Holy shit! First...allow me to apologize for my stupid typo in the previous review, 'screen' instead of 'scream'...*head-palm*. Anyways, is Kagome just in normal shock/shock or has Naraku actually used his voodoo mumbo jumbo to make her a genuine puppet, like Kohaku? Has Inuyasha exploded through their miasma prison yet? And IS she going to end up pregnant? I don't care where anyone's personal views may be...abortion is legal in Japan...that's all I'm saying. Naraku should never be allowed to spawn, no matter what the cost. Oh kami...this is definitely just as crazy-good as all your other stories. Thank goodness for your a/n that you like happy endings. Whoa, if I would have waited just a little longer last night I would have gotten two chapters instead of one, but this was definitely worth the wait. A little darker than your other fics, not that I'm complaining. I will reiterate my original question of how are they going to get out of this? ARE they going to get out of this? This isn't a snuff-fic, is it? So long as they are still alive there's still a chance, especially since Kagome wasn't able to hold in her screen. Maybe Inuyasha will instantly flare into full-youkai status and rip Naraku to shreds before he has time to react. Maybe Kagome's miko powers will surge at some point or another. As long as they're alive there's a chance to kill Naraku. What she needs to concentrate on is not purifying Naraku but purifying the jewel, though I know that will be difficult for her since Naraku and the jewel are virtually one in the same at this point.
