I love this story, you always have me hooked, I am officially your fan now, lol, that was again a unique twist on the inuyasha universe, I liked the way you showed the characters perspective and i wonder what Naraku and Kagome's childe will presage, it doesn't seem to have ill foreboding, maybe Kagome's love will be enough to temper the Naraku side, and I can't believe Kagome is going to leave Inuyasha but it is understandable if she has to make a choice between her child and her love. Wow, epic! And still not over yet, for sure! I hadn't even thought about Kagome being forced to run Inuyasha through with Tetsusaiga, although as soon as she did I wasn't worried that it would kill him because we all know he can survive way worse than that. I'm still up in the air on whether or not the baby had even tried to kill Inuyasha, specifically. True, we do know now that the baby doesn't like Inuyasha, but still, I think the baby shoved Inuyasha through the miasma with the purpose of killing Naraku, a means to an end; even if he doesn't like the inu-hanyou it was necessary to free him to get Naraku out of the way. And the baby only attacked Inuyasha in full-youkai mode after he was charging Kagome, which I'd been expecting, so no mystery there. The baby will not allow harm to befall Kagome, this has been established, but fortunately it also looks like that means it won't blatantly disregard her order to spare the man she loves. I could see this being a sad farewell for them, Kagome going back to live in her time with the baby and never seeing the others again, but presuming Inuyasha can still use the well, and assuming Kagome can still travel back into the past at least with the baby with her since he's power incarnate and would surely be able to use the well at will, then maybe with time Inuyasha will come around. The baby won't be a baby forever, after all, and already fully intelligent as it clearly is, he should be talking much sooner than normal. Wow...I was expecting Inuyasha to emerge on the other side of the miasma, and I was expecting him to be in his full-youkai form and stark raven mad, but I was not expecting him to slaughter Naraku quite so easily. Hahaha, take THAT Naraku! I just hope he was still clinging to life long enough to hear Kagome's final words to him; he had wanted Inuyasha to transform, be careful what you wish for. Now the million dollar question really is whether or not the baby had known that Inuyasha was going to kill Naraku, if he had pushed him through the miasma, a necessary evil, in order to free him. And, even if that is the case (which it looks like it was, because something tells me the baby doesn't make mistakes) that still doesn't tell us if the baby is a 'good' guy. He might only have wanted Naraku dead to get rid of the competition, but he could still be devil's spawn and a new threat to them now that's even greater than Naraku was. Still, time will have to tell on that one. And on whether or not Kagome still has her miko powers, which I guess she'll find out right quick now because she was certainly not expecting those beads to break! It seemed like a good idea at the time, sitting Inuyasha to get him out of his transformation. What's that ol' saying about hind sight being 20/20? LOL. I'm not worried, though, because as has been previously established the baby will not allow Kagome to die, and it has ample power with which to protect Kagome, I'm sure. That doesn't mean Sango and Miroku are safe, though...and there's got to be some way to reverse his transformation because he can't stay full-youkai forever. Oh boy, this is all so exciting! Update as soon as you can, though of course if you need to rest 'cause you're under the weather no worries. Well, to be fair Inuyasha did almost transform, LOL. It was the infant's arrival at that moment that stopped Inuyasha from losing his mind, ultimately saving Inuyasha's life if Naraku truly was going to kill him once he lost it. It was the infant that stopped Naraku from killing Kagome (PS, totally fucked up of Naraku to give Kagome her sanity back right at that moment, brilliant!) and it was the infant that lifted Inuyasha and slammed him back, 'tearing through' the wall of miasma, eh? Yes, sucks that he's in excruciating pain, but no pain no gain. Is Inuyasha going to emerge on the other side of the prison? I wouldn't mind the baby living if it turned out that despite being Naraku's spawn, it turns against him just like all of his off-chutes always did, and as Kagome's child it has a sense of right and wrong. Mkay! So Kagome gets to live! I was thinking, well doesn't the infant need breast milk? Or was he like so evil he ate raw meat? Haha. So what will happen to the rest of them now...? Bum Bum BUM... somebody should have told Naraku to be careful what he wished for, LOL. I know he was trying to push Inuyasha over the edge, stupid Naraku thinks that Inuyasha will be easier to kill when his mind his gone, that his own lack of control and inability to think will ultimately lead to his own demise, but has Naraku ever actually faced off against full-youkai Inuyasha? He has no idea what he's up against, because this time Inuyasha isn't just trying to save his own life, it's revenge for what Naraku did to Kagome. Naraku doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell. Tory, all your fan fics are great - this one especially. I have my fingers crossed that they're all actually under a spell (like the eps when they were trapped by that demon in the poppy field) and that it all works out in the end for IY and Kagome. Although, I have to wonder if Kagome possesses some miko powers, why can't she purify the baby into being fully human so Naraku can't use him as a rechargable battery?
