Comment/Review: This story is fantastic! A lot of them have the same general idea about them sharing body heat, and after the embarrassment it leads to a loving moment. I've read my share of them, but each one is different in its own way. Like the one's SplendentGoddess wrote, I would say I favored those for the longest time. I still love them, 'cause it shows what they're willing to do to keep each other alive. Well I liked your version in its own way, especially that part about Kagome burning all her hard school work, that was really sweet. Anyway I love your blanket scenerio, and I hope to see some more of your work. | Title: I'm honored... I too wrote 'The Tempest' and 'The Backward Blanket' after reading other people's blanket scenario fics and feeling the need to do my own. Sure, I can definitely see a few similarities in underlying concept between yours and mine, but honestly, how many brand new concepts are out there any more? The blanket scenario, in and of itself, has been around for ages. You definitely came up with plenty of original details, such as Inuyasha still being hanyou, but injured, and the snow storm being the result of a group of snow youkai rather than it simply being winter. Plus, I don't think I've ever read any story in which Kagome was forced to burn her school work in order to save Inuyasha...that was a wonderful touch, by the way, his awe of that fact at the end there. There's a difference between copying somebody's work and saying that yours is 'inspired by...' and I'm truly honored that you found my two-shot worthy of pulling inspiration from. This is a wonderful one-shot! And I think the title is fine. I was trying to think of an adjective that could maybe be thrown in there, "The (blank) Blizzard", but nothing comes to mind off the top of my head. Apparently there isn't a single word that is a synonym for 'life-changing' although something along those lines would be cool. But honestly, I think "The Blizzard" is perfectly fine if you can't come up with anything else. I would say more but I have to leave for work! This story was so good it's going to make me late 'cause I lost track of time! LOL. | Reviewed By: xFinalActsGirlx On: August 02, 2011 11:27 EDT Rating(s):Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: I really liked the ending! The snow youkai made me laugh, everytime I pictured them in my head I would think of an oversized Mankey from Pokemon >.< Two thumbs up!!! |
