It is true that though those were Kaou's words, Inuyasha never denied them or made any attempt to correct his meaning later. I couldn't even imagine Kagome's silent suffering for so long. If it were me, I think from being afraid that I might one day snap I would have at least tried to force myself to talk it out with him upon his proposal. But I do understand why Kagome did not, because believing she was right, to bring it up would have only caused him pain, and that she never could have allowed. The pain was her burden to bear alone, because she loves him. Beautifully done! |
