Title: The characters didn't act like people Reviewed By: AtomRaj On: January 13, 2015 07:16 EST Rating(s):Style of Writing: 5 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 7 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 6 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 2 of 10 Overall Rating: 3 of 10 Comment/Review:
The point of a fan fiction is to try telling new stories with the
established worlds and characters we love. As one author put it,
'when the story is over, the playground remains.' That's what we
fanon play in, and that's why we enjoy this work. Sometimes it just
doesn't work out, sadly. When a character we know is barely
recognizable, is it still that character? What if that's every
character, with no reason for such a change? These characters are
more like twisted, joyless funhouse mirror-versions of the Hinata
residents we know and love, and their interactions are wooden and
lacking in more than the most basic internal logic. The concept is
sound enough, but the execution is considerably lacking; this fic
needs some serious polish before it's worth reading.
