No flames here, either. I thoroughly enjoyed this. At first I was trying to figure out, from your summary, how there could even be a story without Naraku. At first I was picturing the canon of Kagome going into the past but with no Naraku around, but I quickly (as in a few seconds) realized that that's foolish because with no Naraku Inuyasha and Kikyou's wish never would have been interrupted in the first place, just like you showed. Where you took it from there, having the wish go so wrong and turning the story into a modern-day high school fic featuring their reincarnations, is just one of countless possible scenarios for such a story concept. It's open to artist interpretation, and I for one truly loved the little adventure you took us on. No flames! LOL That was a very pleasant and sweet 14,000 word one-shot. Yeah, I had a chapter that long one time. The hardest one I've ever written. I really like that there wasn't a whole lot of angst and that Kagome was a real spit fire, putting all those male's in their place. ^_^ It was great. Inuyasha was such a sweetie, too. Yup, they did it right this time. Thanks for the fun story! ^_^ |
