And again with the original ideas. Even after all your talking about making a demonic quiver that would protect her arrows from getting broken, it didn't even occur to me that you might even think of also incorporating the ability to call the arrows to it should they spill out. The possibility of it also having that ability didn't occur to me whatsoever. *slaps forehead* Genius! After all, if Tessaiga's sheath can do that, then why not, right? And I also agree with what Totosai said about it looking plain helping to keep it from getting stolen, just like how Tessaiga looks like a piece of junk when not in use. I'm glad Inuyasha didn't take offense to that; it's true, after all. That has come in handy plenty of times even in the actual manga, where an enemy has disregarded the 'rusty old katana' as not being a threat. All around fabulous concept! Are we going to get to see the new quiver in action? No hurry, of course, since I know you originally write these things for challenges, but once an appropriate 'battle' themed challenge comes around I'm sure you'll get inspired to show off this new quiver's special tricks. Looking forward to it. :-) | Reviewed By: SplendentGoddess [MediaMiner Member] On: June 14, 2012 03:06 EDT Rating(s):Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: LOL, gotta love Totosai. He's such a fun character. And what a good idea! I agree, in reality it doesn't seem plausible that he could make her a weapon, at least not in a canon universe where she hasn't magically mate-bonded with Inu and gotten some of his youkai powers. But I love the idea of him making a demonically strong quiver that will totally protect her arrows from damage. They're just ordinary arrows until she notches them in her bow, charging them at that time, so there's nothing to worry about if her quiver is made from youkai bits. I gotta say, I've never seen that idea done before, nor have I ever really seen her arrows break before either though that's also such a logical possibility that I'm sure could really happen from time to time with all the jumping around and falling while dodging youkai attacks. Most people who do the weaponless-Kagome just focus on what could happen if she ran out of arrows, but you took this in an entirely different direction, complete with solution. Brilliant! Original ideas are getting harder and harder to come by, LOL. | Reviewed By: Ladycash, not logged in On: June 12, 2012 21:24 EDT Comment/Review: Laughing and laughing here. Sneaky Totosai, gotta love him! |
