Finally finished it :) This was a very exciting and entertaining
fic to read. Adapting a Stephen King movie was a very good and neat
idea :) It translated very well into the Inuyasha universe as a
Halloween fic, with some pretty funny imagery as well at times. The
showdown with the villain was also very well written, especially
with how Inuyasha deal the finishing blow, that was awesome. I
thoroughly enjoyed this story, excellent work.

I didn't read this until I had two or three hours free, because I
knew that once I started it I wouldn't want to stop. I was right. I
think you told me about this idea previously, and I'm really glad
you found the time to put it in writing. Very entertaining from
start to finish, even in the beginning when you were just laying
out the players and building suspense. The hermit was a nice touch,
giving us just a taste of what was to come. I remember in
Tommyknockers you essentially ran Inuyasha ragged, with him being
the only sane one left, but in this story there was no mind control
afflicting the Inu-gang so everyone handled themselves calmly and
proficiently. As we would expect from the seasoned youkai fighters
that they are. I never really got the impression that one of them
would get truly hurt, but I still wouldn't have stopped reading for
anything short of the house being on fire. Kagome did get beat up a
little bit, and the Inu-gang wasn't able to save everyone, both of
which made the story feel more real to me. It's a story based on a
horror movie. There can't be a happy ending for everyone. The fact
that you understand that is part of the reason why I enjoy your
Halloween stories so much.

You've done it again, my dear!!! Very well done! Really the only
thing(s) that I noticed were missing quotation marks in quite a few
places, but I know you were having troubles with that already, so
I'm sure you're aware haha. =P It didn't take away from the charm
and enthralled-ness (Yes I just made that up lol) of the story,
though, so you needn't worry about that. Funny thing is, too, I
just recently watched Children of the Corn on Netflix (er well...I
started it. I never got to finish because of a date-gone-wrong but
I got the general gist of it) and there were some aspects that were
definitely familiar. I'm glad no one died in your version lol. It
was definitely an apt Halloween fic and had a certain creepy,
suspenseful feel to it that was very well written and the flow was
perfect; not too fast, or too slow and as always the descriptive
nature gave me a feel of what they were seeing, hearing and all
that. (I absolutely detest the smell of cannabis; makes me sick to
my stomach, but of course I know you only used hemp for the sake of
the story ^_^) Anyway, I really enjoyed reading this, but of course
that's no surprise; I love all of your stories lol. Okay, I've
blabbed on long enough so now I must go read and reply to your
email you sent me hahaha. Once again, keep up the good work
darling! I'm hoping your next oneshot will be a good o'l Inuyasha
and Kagome romance with some steamy smut mixed in XD. Gotta say,
your lemons are the freakin' best. Lol. Keep writing! ~Keiz

This is a pre-reading review. I read the description and I
immediately thought of Children of the Corn, only to read further
that its loosely based on it. Excuse me, but I'm going to need some
day-light to read this fic, that movie traumatized me. But I will
definitely read it and actually review.
