| Title: One of the greatest ever M/U fics I've read Reviewed By: kawaii_nem@hotmail.com On: March 05, 2004 20:52 CST Rating(s):Style of Writing: 10 of 10 Spelling & Grammar: 10 of 10 Originality/Creativity: 9 of 10 Enjoyment Factor: 10 of 10 Overall Rating: 10 of 10 Comment/Review: Humorous, romantic, sarcastic, witty... Of course, it contained all of the usual clichés connected with this kind of story; truth serum, scheming friends, locking up in a room... However, I don't care - because you did it great. Because of your language and style of writing it was made entirely yours. No one would confuse this story with someone else's... I cannot imagine any reason for you having so few reviews here except that your readers have been so captivated by your writing that they fear their review would not even begin to be worthy to be associated with the fic. Or, 2) your readers are unintelligent bastards who can't form a single sentence, having lost their brains due to too many nights spent reading fanfiction of the poorer kind. Of course, I vote for option 1). I certainly enjoyed your story. Of course, that I did find any grammar or spelling errors was a great relief! (It's really irritating being such a... well, pedant concerning those things .. they just happen to irritate me 's all...). However, what played the greatest role in enjoyment of your story was simply how creatively you used the storyline. The only two things I didn't like was that: 1) A lot of situations are cliché - but how can you help that people make use of a winning concept? And, 2) Well, for some reason that is beyond me, I don't particularly like "Can't fight the moonlight". There is no actual reason... maybe that my friends love it *shrugs* it's unimportant. And, to end this review, a little advice. The way I "deal" with my sleeping problems is usually by staying up all night, reading fanfics or studying. However, the times I've managed to fall asleep other than out of pure exhaustion I've used a combination of .... techniques? ideas? Anyway, this is what I do: ¤ Breathe like I'm sleeping (actually fools people...!) and concentrating on just keeping that steady rhythm. Breathe in, breathe out. ¤ Keep your thoughts from going into areas that make you wide awake, like schoolwork, personal problems, scary things... ¤ Remove any distracting things from your room (never tried this but some says it works...) and make it clear to yourself that this room is only meant for sleeping. ¤ Last, get a boyfriend (no offence, no insinuations) *shrugs* it worked for me... I'm not sure how, but he's pulled down my average of nights per week without sleep to just a few. ... Not sure if any of these will work for you - good luck and find fun in everything you do! ///Charlotte

Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome story, but I have to say, what caught my attention was your usage of my favorite insults from Lake Placid (seeing as you forgot to cite, eh? ^.~) which is the most hilarious movie! Anyhooz, great story! |
