I saw this same story of your on another site, (you probly know which one I'm talking about) and I gotta tell ya, It's pure poetry you got written on here. It's very detailed, but kept modest. (well, as modest as these fics can get) It's filled with the emotion that FFX/X2 players would expect from Tidus and Yuna being togeather. Overall this is written extreamly well. Keep up the good work, and make no compromise!

This is one of the best FFX lemons I've read thus far, and that's saying a lot, since there are about a million different FFX lemons with random FF couples. I really liked how you had written, though. You have such a unique style of writing that makes me want to read more. However, you went a little over board on the whole "love" idea, and it was a little over used. Little tip: use the word once or twice and the reader gets the picture. Overall, however, it was really nice to read. A few spelling errors here and there, but it was still very enjoyable. Hope to see more from you, maybe even another lemon? Keep writing! I can tell you have lots of fans!

If 700+ hits and an award for Best Lemon doesn't tell you that this lemon is outstanding, I don't know what will. ^_^
You brought up your, uhm, ideas the other day and mentioned FF.net and I realized that because FF.net took this story down, it took my review down with it! Which means I have technically left this gem unreviewed, which makes Shad feel really bad. :P
Lovin' the writing style and the un-errorness of the spelling and grammar and so forth...as you can see from the rating ^_^
The reason I rated so high on 'originality/creativity' and 'enjoyment' was simply because it was so SWEET. It wasn't smut at all; Yuna and Tidus' love for each other shone clear and 'smut' was the farthest word from my mind upon reading. I believe the word Pesh used to describe your fic when I asked her how she liked it was "endearing," and that sums it up just perfectly.
As for Floral's review, I guess it's all interpretation. Maybe some people just find it taboo to use the word 'sex' in a lemon, but I think it was just fine. Then again, hey -- it's all a matter of taste. Being a lemon and all. :p And the comparisons I actually found to be my favorite part -- it actually had CHARACTERIZATION! *eyes light up in wonder* which totally makes my day -- but that just goes to show you how people's tastes can differ. ^^
All in all, this lovely piece still impresses me to this day.

I have to say this is a very beautiful and emotional lemon. The reason why the Enjoyment has a low rating is because I liked how you elaborated on the emotions but you mention the wor 'Sex' numerous times and you kept comparing...well like saying 'he'a always doing that.' or 'I loved it everytime he does that' and throughout the story you did so. But besides those two peeves I have to say this was a very enjoyable and grace to you for making it.

Thank you for being one of the actually GOOD lemon writers, who write very well, with some sort of plot instead of just random sex, and for not doing a yaoi. I'm really sick of those---they make themselves, and lemon-hosting websites look gay. |

Style of Writing: You convey emotion very well. I was drawn into the scene quite deeply, and I'm not even familiar with these characters. (I know who they are, but I've never played the game).
Spelling & Grammar: I think I found one spelling error that Word would not have caught. (Yuna wrapped her arms tightly around Tidus as the spread her legs wider) Not bad, not bad at all.
Originality/Creativity: Although very emotional, this was a PWP. It was refreshing to read one that was a romance far more than a porno. I applaud you.
Enjoyment Factor: To read a piece and share passion and emotions with the characters as if you are with them is a wonderful feeling. You have captured Love and bound it with ink, displaying it for all to see.
Overall Rating: If I gave you a 10, I'd have to drop out of the Oscars. I am truly honoured to see my fic stand beside yours in friendly competition. May the best story win. |
