However, it's difficult for me to see Akane as studying magic, as opposed to her sister Nabiki, or even Kasumi.
Also, rendering Ranma, or Ranko as you've chosen to name her, incapable of returning to his birth form, seems to detract from the overall genre of the Ranma 1/2 universe. Not to mention doing away with the original appearance of Ranma-chan, and making Ranko apparently gender sensitive in the reverse from canon. Seemingly, your version of Ranma has given up any interest in returning to her original gender. |

It feels like Ranma is a little too experienced/knowledgeable for this to feel quite Ranma-esque, but that's not necessarily a flaw. |
