Ideally, the story works perfectly and is a romantic yet tragic tale of Heero and Duo's forbidden love. But the story is less believable when one realizes Heero married Relena out of his obligations of his title as a prince. Yet, he threw everything (including his obligations) away at the very end when he realized he loves Duo. I would've thought if Heero lived at the end (with the guilt and regret of not being able to love Duo the way he should have) is more believable and sticks more to the original fairy tale (which I think is much more impacting). All well, I'm ranting. Don't mind me. Wonderful story even though the ending was not what I've expected nor liked. |
