i can't place my finger on why, but all i know is that the first of your brad schu stories drew me in right away...so i immediately found your other works in the series and read them...and they all lived up to my expecation...part of me likes the fact that you never really finished the story, leaving it to the imagination and the other wishes you'd write more...
